You will see this term, Paper Hands, which is often used on Reddit, and I wanted to cover it here.
What Does Paper Hands Mean?
Paper Hands is slang/jargon for an investor who will not hold on to investments during poor performance. Either an investment is doing well, or it will be sold.
Often, this is described as selling early, needing an investment, and following it.
Are Paper Hands Good Or Bad?
If you invest without a plan of entry and exit or follow your investment plans, having Paper Hands is bad.
If an investment isn’t for you, don’t invest.
If you have a good investment with an executed entry point and you don’t follow your exit plan and do so prematurely, this can be chaotic, which can result in poor outcomes.
You Do You. I’ve been a victim of my own FOMO and Diamond Hands, but with time, we will learn to know:
You’ve got to know when to hold ’em Know when to fold ’em Know when to walk away And know when to run…
