I aim to build the best dividend stock portfolio for weekly income going forward. This goal might not fit your goals, but I wanted to share my experiences trying to grow another passive income generator(PIG).

The first word in Personal Finances is “personal.” Please follow along and provide feedback, and open a dialog for us to talk about dividend stock income solutions. But remember, what works for me doesn’t work for you, and what works for you doesn’t work for me.
Sometimes, for the same problem, there are many solutions.
Here is an example of multiple solutions for the same problem:
The YT channel Let’s Talk Money! with Joseph Hogue, CFA(https://www.youtube.com/@josephhogue) had the subject of picking a dozen stocks(or so) that created a weekly income schedule.
With this topic, Joseph Hogue created three videos specific to this top and a few more to other variants like daily dividend cash-flow and steady monthly income stock portfolios.
Let’s focus on Let’s Talk Money’s videos related to my latest project, a dividend stock portfolio that generates weekly income to satisfy my desire to make dividend investing more exciting. Also lovely to have that weekly income from a passive income generator (PIG).
On 9 September 2020, Joseph Hogue released this video:
Then on 29 November 2021, Joseph Hogue released this video:
Building List Of Dividend Stocks For Every Week.
Now not saying Joseph Hogue is the end all at researching building my list of dividend stocks for the new portfolio, but he is a great start.
I reviewed his channel here: Let’s focus on Let’s Talk Money, and one strong point about watching Joseph Hogue, he won’t let you get away with just information handed to you.
He will ensure he goes over his ‘whys’ and ‘hows’ so you can do your due diligence and choose your financial plan.

Looking At The Weekly Dividend Stock Recommendations.
All are decent choices, but there are a few stocks I was not interested in.
A Concern, Low Yield Dividend Stocks?
Some of the stocks offered lower-than-expected dividends, and I understand his goal. Mr. Hogue focused on the timeliness of dividend distributions to satisfy the point of his videos.
This is why it’s essential to review all his weekly dividends distributions stock picks and determine which stocks match your income goals and risk tolerance.
After watching the videos several times, I devised this stock layout myself.
My Weekly Dividend Stock Portfolio Core:
- Bristol-Myers Squibb Company (BMY)
- Kinder Morgan, Inc. (KMI)
- Newmont Corporation (NEM)
- AT&T Inc. (T)
- Vornado Realty Trust (VNO)
- Iron Mountain Incorporated (IRM)
- EOG Resources, Inc. (EOG)
- Gladstone Capital Corporation (GLAD)
- Crown Castle Inc. (CCI)
- AGNC Investment Corp. (AGNC)
- Newell Brands Inc. (NWL)
- Broadcom Inc. (AVGO)
Well, if you look at this lineup, it is a direct copy of the 29 November 2021 video:
Well, you would be correct. The way Joseph Hogue, CFA, explained these 12 stocks in such a way that I wanted them.
I am so giving full credit to Joseph Hogue, CFA. His ability to explain a stock’s financial research has been a decisive factor in my goal of growing Passive Income Generators (P.I.G.s).
Now this core set of stock was designed around the hard work Mr. Hogue did on his channel and the two videos, and satisfy my first goal of a stock portfolio that gives weekly dividends.
Good Core Dividend Stock Portfolio?
I could have stopped with this initial stock setup, but only having a dozen stocks felt like they needed to be more diversified.
How Much Diversification Is Enough?
As I stated, the Schwab U.S. Dividend Equity ETF (SCHD) is my core investment vehicle for my larger retirement accounts.
Now SCHD has about 102 stocks/ETFs.
I planned to have at least 100 holdings to make this easy for me.
12 Stocks < 100 Stocks???
Yes, 12 is less than 100. Even with my public school education, I understand this. I will be diversifying my portfolio further.
So, after building my initial 12 stocks for the weekly dividends, I will use my time to add/remove stocks/ETFs to match my personal goals.
In The Future:
I will be adding additional stocks to this portfolio and will keep you guys up to date.
As I make changes to this portfolio, I plan to reach out to you guys and give my reason, and I look forward to your feedback.
Some changes will be apparent, so I might not mention them directly, but I plan to cover my reasons behind such movements.
Thank you, and I hope you leave feedback.
