Dear Blog Reader,

I hope to inspire others by sharing my continued experiences with my “do it yourself” approach to financial independence. I have made great strides in transforming myself from no money to working for money and then having money work for me.

These advancements came at a cost. I have made mistakes along the way, expensive mistakes, and I hope I can spare you from making the same. I want to share everything I learned, but 30+ years of layperson financial information is a lot.

This blog(GrowingPIGs.com) aims to share stories about how I’ve slowly been growing Passive Income Generators (PIGs) as I work towards my 100% financial independence(others call ‘retirement’).

I have never trusted to turn over my financial planning to others, always trying to accept 100% ownership and control of my wealth creation. Face it, the only person who is interested in your success is you. This lesson I learned early and continue to remind myself.

If you, too, are interested in my successes and my mistakes, please follow along. Hopefully, we can all cross that finish line to financial independence.

Hi I’m Tom, A Blogger And A PIG Farmer. PIG Farmer as in I grow Passive Income Generators(PIG’s). I’ve been playing with stocks, mutual funds, and options for decades, as well as always working on my side hustle stacks. Unlike what you read online, I’ve yet to find a way to get rich quickly. Get Rich Quick isn’t happening for me. My journey has been long and continues. I hope to have so many PIGs I can stop working at my current job and volunteer as a medical worker overseas.  Still waiting, but getting there. I still am a family man, and while on this Journey of Growing PIGs.   I wanted to share my adventures(ups and downs), hoping you will contribute with your feedback and comments.
